Fun Chess Puzzles has a collection of more than 4000 carefully selected chess puzzles also referred to as chess tactics, which range from simple to extremely difficult.
The solution of a chess tactic is the sequence of best moves to be played from the given position.
A chess puzzle is considered solved only if all the moves in the solution are played in the correct order.

Your rating is updated with each chess puzzle played. If you solve a chess puzzle, your rating increases, whereas if you fail to solve it your rating decreases.
Chess tactics displayed in the app are based on your current skill level.
The rating is updated according to the Glicko-2 rating system, invented by Mark Glickman.
The chess puzzles include a wide variety of tactical motifs: checkmate, blocking, interference, pin, discovered attack,
clearance, trapped piece, sacrifice, skewer, overloaded piece, advanced pawn, mate threat, removing the defender, X-ray attack, weak back rank, zugzwang, zwischenzug, perpetual and stalemate.

Very pleased with this carefully-written app. Great graphics and a wide selection of puzzles (4,823 in the free version). Can be used offline. The puzzles' difficulty goes up or down according to whether you solve them or not. Also very good is the ability to review a puzzle at the end, solved or not. The app downloads Stockfish 10 to further analyse the position. Improvements? A later edition of Stockfish, and perhaps the option to choose puzzles by theme.

I like the tactics app really much. It is one of the best out there and I tried a lot of them. I have two requests for further improvements. To be able to use the app in landscape mode. And an option to jump quickly to the start or to end of the variation by long pressing the forward or backward button, in the Solution and Analysis view. Maybe by pressing the navigation button by one second or so. Than a quick press on the navigation button would move one move forwards or backward, (like it is now). And a longer press, (one second or so), on the navigation button would jump to the start or to the end of the variation.

I found a mate in 5, but I *failed* the puzzle (losing rating points) because there was a mate in 4. I wish there was an alert informing that there is a shorter solution, so I can keep looking.

Assume they're idiots. Some solutions to puzzles assume that the opponent is bad ad chess and I lose 15 points for making a bad move.
