MaxPreps: High School Sports v5.5.5-Prod-251112
MaxPreps IncAbout this app
The MaxPreps: High School Sports app effectively solves the problem of accessing high school sports information, including scores, schedules, and athlete data, making it an invaluable resource for students, parents, and sports enthusiasts. This app benefits those involved in or following high school sports the most, offering a centralized platform for sports information. Compared to other sports apps, MaxPreps stands out with its focus on high school sports, but it falls short in terms of providing detailed analysis or live streaming of events. Its straightforward approach and user-friendly interface make it a solid choice for those seeking basic sports information.
Pros
- With over 500,000 downloads and a 4.2/5 rating, MaxPreps demonstrates a high level of social proof and user satisfaction, indicating a well-designed and useful app.
- The app's lack of permissions is a significant advantage, as it ensures user data privacy and security, a critical factor for an app that may be used by minors.
- MaxPreps is regularly updated, which suggests that the developer is committed to improving the app and fixing issues, thereby enhancing the user experience over time.
- The app's simplicity and ease of use make it accessible to a wide range of users, including those who may not be tech-savvy, which is beneficial for its target audience.
- The developer's reputation, as evidenced by the app's overall quality and user reviews, suggests a trustworthy source for high school sports information.
Cons
- One concern is the presence of ads, which, while understandable given the free model, may detract from the user experience, especially if they are intrusive or overly frequent.
- The app's lack of detailed sports analysis or live streaming capabilities may be a disappointment for users seeking more in-depth sports coverage.
- There is a potential for data collection through the app, given its connection to the internet, which could raise privacy concerns, especially considering the app's target audience includes minors.
- The app requires Android 7.0 or higher, which might limit its accessibility for users with older devices, potentially excluding some members of its target audience.
Best for: The ideal user for the MaxPreps: High School Sports app is likely a student, parent, or coach involved in high school sports, or a sports enthusiast interested in following local or national high school sports teams, who values easy access to scores, schedules, and athlete information, and prefers a straightforward, user-friendly interface without requiring advanced sports analysis tools.

Love this App. This has made high school football so much more interesting. Your data base has got to be enormous. This is my #1 high school football app. Keep up the great job. Thanks.
Fixed as of 942a. Got on this morning to prepare for soccer matches and was able to sign in and see everything. thank you for being quick.
The app is good but there needs to modification or tool to where scores are being displayed on the app during at all times, without the need of reporting games when the games are not live. ScoreStream shows all their score with no problems. MaxPreps should be the same way. I know MaxPreps does a really good job to make the app good for everyone but there needs to be modification that supports this issue..
The mobile web version is better than the app. It makes absolutely no sense why I can't click an opposing team in the match up or schedule tab and it take me to that teams page. The mobile web version does it just fine. The app needs fixed to be able to do this. Instead I have to go all the way out and search for that team if I want to view them.
Very disappointed support is almost nonexistent. I signed up for site content. I had logout and use as guest. I followed HS sports nationwide. Was blocked from seeing polls. Signed up and was restricted to my metro area. Couldn't even check on great nephews in other states. No support just dumb articles with yes or no. That would be no they're not helpful. Here a tip. Folks don't want national app that restricts you to your area. I can use for scores as guest only. Can't use the other features
