National Review v18.3
National Review, Inc.About this app
The National Review app solves the problem of accessing high-quality conservative writing, reporting, and analysis on-the-go, benefiting individuals who value in-depth commentary on politics and current events. Compared to alternatives in the News And Magazines category, this app stands out for its excellent user rating and lack of ads, making it a standout choice for those seeking a clutter-free reading experience. However, the app's limited download numbers and relatively high in-app purchase prices may deter some users. Overall, the app's unique blend of commentary and analysis makes it a valuable resource for conservative-minded individuals.
Pros
- The National Review app boasts an excellent user rating of 4.8/5, indicating a high level of user satisfaction with the app's content and functionality.
- With no ads to distract from the reading experience, users can focus on the app's in-depth commentary and analysis without interruptions.
- The app's developer, National Review, Inc., is a well-established and reputable source of conservative writing and reporting, lending credibility to the app's content.
- The app's regular updates, as evidenced by its recent version 18.3 release, suggest a commitment to maintaining and improving the user experience.
- The app's lack of permissions requests suggests a respect for user privacy and a focus on providing a straightforward reading experience.
Cons
- The app's in-app purchase prices, ranging from $1.99 to $99.99 per item, may be prohibitively expensive for some users, potentially limiting access to the app's full range of content.
- The app's limited download numbers, currently at 10,000+, may indicate a relatively small user base, which could impact the app's ability to facilitate discussion and community engagement.
- The app's requirement of Android 8.0 or higher may exclude some users with older devices, potentially limiting its accessibility.
- Some users may find the app's content to be too narrowly focused on conservative perspectives, potentially limiting its appeal to users with diverse viewpoints.
Best for: The ideal user of the National Review app is a conservative-minded individual, likely between the ages of 25 and 55, who values in-depth commentary and analysis on politics and current events, and is willing to pay for high-quality content, with a moderate to high level of technical skill and a strong interest in staying informed about national and international news.

New Version -- GREAT improvement! This new version is easy to use, quick, responsive, and helps make reading National Review a better experience. Most importantly, this App even makes reading the digital version of the magazine easy! Thanks for the improvement!
Well written articles for the most part. App pages are boring, but good information.
Reviewing the app, not the content like most of the comments. the app is good, but I find it wild that you can't view and interact with comments in the app. it directs you to NRO website in a browser. so what's the point of the app?
Needs adjustable font! Come on, this is an app that is primarily built READING! How can you possibly not allow users to adjust the font size?
Sensible conservatism right in my hand anytime. Or so you would think. The app is painfully slow, often not loading what I had intended. Always trouble with logging in even though I'm a subscriber. And ads ads ads even though I'm a subscriber! I would like the search to be a better. I can see an article on my desktop but, when I search thru the app, it isn't as easy to find. You're better off just using the website. I'm really disappointed with this app and I know Buckley would be, too.
