CROSSWORD PHRASES
Search over 100K built-in phrases, use a hyphen to denote a space, try m????-???-?????? to find motte and bailey, miles per gallon and milky way galaxy
ANAGRAMS
Try vegdances to find scavenged, also finds smaller words such as seance.
WORDLE
Green letters use the crossword search, eg ??e?t
Grey letters, add them to the Excludes Letters filter
Yellow letters, add them to the Contains Letters filter
CODEWORDS
Try ??112332 to find cassette and pallette, use the filters to exclude letters you already have found.
BLANK LETTERS
Use + to represent blank letters, enter scrabb++ to find crabbers and scrabbly.
DEFINITIONS
Press the search icon next to a word to view it's definition, example usages and synonyms. You can click on the synonyms for further info and hear the word by pressing the speak button.
Note, if no definition is found the app will search the web for a definition.

I have just re-rated to 5* after I dropped my original 5* to just 1*. I had a gripe which turned out to be nothing to do with the Developer nor the app itself...Google's meddling. The dev was very understanding and helpful, and I felt it was right to give the top rating again. There aren't many free apps, of ANY sort, that have so many usage options. My one very tiny issue is that, in Anagrams and one or 2 other modes, words are sometimes given that simply don't exist. Never mind...GREAT APP!!!

I love this app for helping me with my cryptogram puzzles since I just use "?" for any unknown letters & then type in the known letters--it's a great app for that feature, however, when I try to use it to help me with a crossword puzzle, I cannot find any way of putting in a clue (in addition to putting in the known and unknown letters). I did pull up the settings, but there was nothing helpful. The HELP section said to use the magnifying glass icon, but not showing anywhere. So, it's useless!

Loved it until they changed it - now you can't use the app without first accepting - or taking an age to decline - a ridiculous number of 'legitimate interests' from companies that have no LEGITIMATE interest at all. Nope, I won't agree to it and I'm not spending time scrolling endlessly to decline, so this app is now re moved from my phone, after 2 years of loving it. Way to lose customers quickly!
