Brilliant app. I'm disappointed to see the negative reviews. Now I can read NCE on the tube, waiting for a bus, at the park or wherever. I can bookmark articles, search all back issues, even change the font size. Much more convenient than a PDF, though I realise some prefer to read on a laptop. I've been waiting for this for years and am really pleased to see it so well implemented. Dark mode would be nice, but not essential.
I like the app but it really needs a bookmarking feature so you don't have to flick through to find where you were each time.
Trailing this before I make a decision to cancel the paper version. I like the convenience of having an app but it seems to lack any bookmarking function to alow you to easily pick up where you left it. Also it burns my retina, it really needs a dark mode.
I much prefer the option to read the magazine on my laptop and attached screen during coffee breaks at work. Using this new app I cannot do that anymore. I would not chose to read the magazine on my phone. I also used to bookmark articles. However, that is not the end of the world because the articles in the magazine are also stand-alone articles on the NCE website.
I've returned to see if the app had been fixed but its unchanged. Hopefully not too many readers will be lost for good before they revert back to pdf's or fix this. I cant imagine how someone could think this was a good idea for the readers
