Deus Ex GO users say on Google Play
Deus Ex GO is one of the best games on platform and absolute top in a genre, but it become almost unplayable because text and UI overlaps until it looks like a mess on screen. Game needs to be updated. PLZ FIX!
The main menu and cutscenes are bugged; text becomes unreadable after 3-4 lines, and anything that moves just creates a gigantic smear. If any devs are reading, just adding an infinitely long black plane positioned behind the UI would provide a quick fix that can side-step any driver issues related to clearing the framebuffer. Other than this bug (and microtransations for undos / retries) the game is solid.
I used to love this game, but I can no longer play it. Every time I start up the game it gives me a Gold Crate for doing absolutely nothing. Normally this wouldn't be such a problem, but when I tap on the Claim button it doesn't complete the action, so I can't move past the claim screen. Stop with the gifts. Just let me play the damned game. I already have more undos and retries than I'll ever use.
After playing through the entire game I can't recommend this. The game is fun but is also a buggy mess. For example, there is some graphical glitch that makes text unreadable in the menus which means you can't tell what's going on in the story very well and makes menus way more difficult to navigate. No fun. Secondly, I half downloaded the game so I could earn Praxis Kits for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Except I never received those kits even after linking my account to both games and troubleshooting the issue. It appears the praxis kit thing is entirely broken so don't get your hopes up if that's why your buying this game. I'll leave two stars because, at its core, this is a good puzzle game - the devs just need to fix it!
This game is pretty good, but SE's complete unwillingness to fix the text bug that makes story and menu text completely unreadable means I refuse to rate this higher than 1 star. The fact that Square Enix is still charging money for a game with such a glaring and obvious visual bug is just utterly baffling. The heartbreaking thing is otherwise, it's another solid entry in the GO series of mobile games (the game is still playable despite the visual bug).
