Had an amazing experience through this app but I am definitely one of the lucky ones with how few problems I had. I can't speak to how good this app is when things don't go well. But from my experience I would definitely recommend the app.

This app is generally very well made and I highly recommend. Some annoying things: - I would like the option to filter out hosts I've already looked at in my searches. - once I found a host, I was unable to cancel other hosts I had applied for, it would be courteous to them to be able to withdraw - everytime I apply for a host, I'm constantly getting prompts to complete tasks to receive certificates. No means no! - for the love of god, remove hosts that require work visa's to volunteer!

edit: no habla espagnole! Thanks for replying but I need you to fix this, so that I don't have to use my laptop or pc everytime I want to get replies and such! the mobile app is really bad... it doesn't load messages, works slow and the notifications for new texts don't come. beautiful idea poor execution takes away from the beautiful idea. hope they fix these issues soon with an update or such.

Not what it used to be. This platform costs money to use, which I understand. But so many of the hosts charge money as well. Some of them want a significant amount. For some of these costs, you could take private excursions to do the same thing. This is no longer a way to exchange your time and work for room and board.

This is just a waste of time and money. I wanted to get a refund as I couldn't find any volunteering opportunities. They told me to just cancle my plan, as I did. Now they are saying that because 1 host instead of straight up ghosting me, said that it wasn't a match, it means I used their services and cannot get a refund. I feel scammed. I paid for a full year, and now after I cancled my plan (as they told me to), I cant even access the platform anymore, nor did I got a refund
