I can barely write Chinese by hand. Consequently I have to input Chinese using a keyboard and MS Pinyin. To do that I have to be able to pronounce (in Putonghua) whatever I want to input. I like this app as someone who studies Chinese and needs to learn the stroke orders for characters. However, this app has a problem with the restore purchases. it is consistently buffering and stuck on the 'Thanks for using our app' screen.
