App works flawlessly with connecting Uxbridge Voice. It facilitated a firmware update to There isn't much to the app other than managing the device's equalizer, sound level, firmware, and Alexa account, but that's really all it needs because it connects you to the Alexa app where you can manage the device's "smart home" integration.
If you have connectivity issues try these things in your speaker: first press SOURCE+PLAY buttons for 10s for factory reset; keep SOURCE button pressed while selecting WiFi or Bluetooth (whichever causes you issues) to make them noticeable in your phone, etc; leave and exit app (don't just refresh) for an hour if once configured your speaker isn't showing in the app (this worked for me). Unplugging for a few mins solves random issues too.
In the past with troubles I was able to connect Stanmore II to Wifi. This no longer works. EDIT: I was able to fix the issue, this is how I did it. I did not use any of the marshall apps. I used google home app in combination with google "device utility app." I factory reset the speaker, then used utility app to activate it and subsequently home app worked. Also, it seems device utility app worked on pixel phone, but did not work on pixel 5a. I had to hard reset few times, too.
Please, please, please add speaker coupling to this app. All I want is stereo sound in my new kitchen. Sure, I can pair the two speakers but they just both play the same output. If I had bought the Acton II, instead of the Acton II Voice, I would have stereo sound. However I bought MORE EXPENSIVE speakers and cannot have stereo sound? These speakers have the same bluetooth capabilities as the standard Acton II Bluetooth so why no stereo coupling? It would simply be a case of adding the function to the Marshall Voice app, it is already on the Marshall Bluetooth app so would take very little effort to add on. Please! I don't want to sell my beloved Voice speaker and lose the ability to use Alexa, then pay 500 quid for two new speakers, all just to have stereo sound?! Mike
No stars for this app. Reason, it simply doesn't connect to wifi regardless of what you do. I've been on to the technical support on numerous to try and resolve this bit to no avail. I have had replacement speakers, again still no joy. All other devices in the house can connect effortlessly. Clearly this is an ongoing issue judging by similar reviews. It's got to the stage now where the helpdesk just ignore customers to avoid the hassle. Despicable service. Zero stars.
