I cannot put it at fault for straying away from the two originals as this changes up the formula for those who are more into survival games with a mix of some RPG-ish style elements. Having both played (and own) the originals also on Android, I must admit that the quality put into the game is very well done. Sadly, I've not gotten far into the game as of yet, and am intentionally farming basic resources and enemies (hopefully it doesn't come back to bite me later on).
I'm enjoying the plot, the lore, going around to different islands. BUT the UI feels overly sensitive at times, such as leaving buildings or maneuvering while in build, and under-sensitive at others, as when my characters are running just fine and suddenly decide "nah". The crafting menus don't seem to be dedicated to a specific table, and sorting containers still needs just the tiniest tweak to auto-sort when a new item is added to a characters inventory. Do&De is otherwise exactly as I hoped
This game is okay compared to the previous two. Its not as funny and its more like minecraft. My biggest issue is needing to constantly switch tools for weapons and lack of inventory organization. I wish it was just one large inventory that merged all items together as you have to instead open 12 separate screens. Also, the amount of space is tiny compared to what you can pick up so you constantly need to toss things. Thx for note! I didnt see banners with additional purchases on android!
The first 2 games were 2 of the best I've played. This one however is just really lacking. The combat is so boring and frustrating. Super slow and has no flow at all. Should be the fun part of the game but it's terribly executed. No real point to the story and honestly this game is just a lot of work with no reward and no fun. The last DandD was so awesome but this one in my opinion is kind of a dud. Sorry guys but this was not your best work. Also the inventory sucks terrible.
Tedious inventory management and constant path retracing... I read the reviews about how the inventory management is a pain. What I didn't realize is that all equipment constantly breaks. You can fill your inventory with a needed tool like a mining pick, and destroy every single one within an hour. Since you can't craft or repair the tools, too bad if you used a special material on one. Oh too bad if it broke just before an enemy attacked. The more I play the more annoyed I get.
