Pizza Boy C Pro v7.1.7
Pizza EmulatorsAbout this app
Pizza Boy C Pro is a precise emulator of 8-bit handheld games, solving the problem of nostalgic gamers seeking to play classic titles on their Android devices. This app benefits retro gaming enthusiasts the most, offering a unique experience that stands out from other Game Arcade category alternatives due to its precise emulation capabilities. Compared to other emulators, Pizza Boy C Pro's high user rating and lack of ads or in-app purchases make it a compelling choice, despite being a paid app. However, its limited download numbers and lack of transparency about future updates might raise concerns about long-term support.
Pros
- With a high user rating of 4.5 out of 5, Pizza Boy C Pro demonstrates a well-received and stable gaming experience, indicating a strong reputation among its user base.
- The absence of ads and in-app purchases provides an uninterrupted gaming experience, enhancing the overall enjoyment and immersion in the classic games it emulates.
- The developer's decision to charge a one-time fee of $5.99 might deter some users, but it ensures that the app remains free from monetization aggressiveness, potentially leading to a more dedicated user community.
- The app's requirement for no permissions is a significant advantage, indicating that it does not collect or transmit user data beyond what is necessary for its core functionality, enhancing user privacy and security.
- Given its small size and offline capability, Pizza Boy C Pro is accessible and performant, making it suitable for a wide range of Android devices, including those with limited storage or internet connectivity.
Cons
- Despite its strengths, the limited number of downloads, although still significant at 50,000+, might raise concerns about the app's community size and the potential for future updates or support from the developer.
- The paid model, while beneficial for the user experience, might be a barrier for some potential users who are accustomed to free or freemium models, potentially limiting the app's reach and adoption rate.
- The lack of detailed information about the developer's plans for future updates or new features might leave some users uncertain about the app's long-term viability and whether it will continue to receive necessary updates or enhancements.
- Users should be aware that, as with any emulator, the legal status of playing roms of copyrighted games can be complex, and users are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to play the games they emulate.
Best for: The ideal user for Pizza Boy C Pro is a retro gaming enthusiast, likely between the ages of 25 and 45, who is technically adept enough to navigate the process of obtaining and loading game roms, and values a precise and ad-free emulation experience that allows them to revisit classic 8-bit handheld games on their Android device.

I used my old boy until I got a new phone. I looked around for an emulator that was good for Pokemon. So it has to be able to speed up (when leveling), cheats, multiplayer (trading), multiple save states. This does all of that and more! Also they have fixed every error Ive identified, these developers care about user experience! One thing I'd add is load/save states when doing multiplayer it makes trading much easier. This is an awesome emulator thanks!!!
Emulation quality is overall pretty decent, it has some audio issues, but they're not common enough to be annoying. The app could better convey that by tapping the game screen you can toggle the SGB borders on games that support it. There is one concerning issue with loading games, if you exit out the app anywhere in the game, next time you load in, if you open the settings menu, backing out will load that last part you were before exiting out, this could overwrite saved games.
Id rate 4 stars but for some reason your cheat code setup is very unusual and doesn't accept any cheats. I've tried over a dozen. Maybe it's a patch or bug that needs to be fixed. Until than the most I can rate it is 3 stars. Its dope but would be perfect if the cheat system worked. Instead of them showing up vertically, they get inputted horizontally and I know thats not right. Hopefully this gets fixed once it does I'll have no problem changing my rating.
I honestly can't find the video settings and how to get rid of those annoying skins, that are all messed up on my Galaxy fold, since it has an unusual aspect ratio. The free version is so easy to use and setup, why is this one worse if it's so expensive??? answer to dev: I've already done it, the frame around the screen is still there (the one with the power led, not the super gamboy one, i know i can send that one away tapping on the screen)
Keeps reverting saves. I'd just beat the 3rd gym on Pokemon crystal and saved the game (before and after Whitney). When I opened the game again I was reverted to a save several hours prior. Then when I was opening and reopening the app trying to see if I could get it load my further save, the app loaded an even older save from shortly after the 1st gym. I don't know how it's pulling in such old saves, but this is a horrible bug.
