◆How to use the Digital Daijisen◆
■Index (Please use as a reading dictionary)
The "Index" on the top screen has entries collected by the following genres.
・ABC abbreviations: A list of entries with alphabetical abbreviations.
・Seasonal word list: A list of entries that collect seasonal words by New Year, spring, summer, autumn, winter, or by season, astronomy, geography, lifestyle, events, animals, and plants.
・Four-character idioms: A list of entries that collect only four-character idioms.
・Phrases: A list of items that only collect proverbs and idiomatic expressions.

・Difficult words: A list of items that collect difficult-to-read kanji. Enjoy it like a quiz.

・Index by part of speech: A list of items by part of speech.

・Map item list: A list of items that can display a map.

■Search methods
●There are five types of search: [Prefix search], [Partial match search], [Suffix search], [Exactly unique search], and [Full text search].

・Prefix: Searches for words that start with the search term.

・Partial: Searches for words that contain the search term.

・Suffix: Searches for words that end with the search term.

・Complete: Searches for words that match the search term exactly.

・Main text: Searches for words that contain the search term in the explanatory text, kana heading, or notation.

●In addition to kana headings and kanji notation, the Digital Daijisen also has search keywords in its data. By using these hidden keywords, words can be found even if there are variations in spelling or input errors. The hidden keywords are used when searching for [forward match search], [partial match search], [backward match search], and [exact match search].

1) Variations in kana spelling: Results will come from either "management" or "management".
*Similar examples: "display", "display", "interface", "sherlockian", etc.

2) Mixed spelling variations: Results will come from either "gowarai" or "owarai".
*Similar examples: "rose-colored", "rose-colored", "melancholy", "child", etc.

3) Foreign names: Results will come from "John Wayne" when searching for the name "John".

■How to download content
