Card Talk v1.2.2
LITALICO lnc.About this app
Card Talk solves the problem of expressing emotions and learning languages in an engaging way, benefiting individuals who struggle with social interactions or language barriers. Compared to other education apps, Card Talk stands out with its unique card-based approach, but may fall short in terms of comprehensive language lessons. With a 4.2-star rating and 100,000+ downloads, it has gained moderate popularity, but its lack of in-app purchases or ads is a notable advantage. The app's simplicity and focus on a specific use case make it an excellent choice for those seeking a specialized tool.
Pros
- Card Talk's high user rating of 4.2 stars indicates a well-designed and effective app that meets the needs of its users, with many praising its unique approach to language learning and emotional expression.
- The app's moderate download numbers of 100,000+ provide social proof of its value and popularity, suggesting that it has resonated with a significant number of users.
- The absence of in-app purchases and ads ensures an uninterrupted user experience, allowing users to focus on learning and expressing themselves without distractions.
- The developer's reputation, as evident from their website and email support, suggests a commitment to user satisfaction and feedback, which is essential for an education app.
- The app's small size and lack of permissions required make it an excellent choice for users with limited storage space or concerns about data privacy.
Cons
- One concern is that the app's limited scope and focus on a specific use case may not provide a comprehensive language learning experience, potentially leaving users seeking more in-depth lessons or features.
- The app's lack of updates may indicate a lack of ongoing development or support, which could impact its long-term viability and ability to address user concerns or fix issues.
- Some users may find the app's card-based approach too simplistic or limited, potentially leading to boredom or disengagement over time.
- The app's compatibility with only Android 7.0 and above may exclude users with older devices, limiting its accessibility and potential user base.
Best for: The ideal user for Card Talk is an individual, likely a child or young adult, who struggles with social interactions or language barriers, and is seeking a unique and engaging way to express themselves and learn new languages, with a moderate level of technical skill and a willingness to explore a specialized tool.

An absolutely phenomenal app that really helps me out when I go nonverbal. I really appreciate that it is completely free to use and has no ads. There are some basic cards already in the app and you can create your own custom ones. The only thing I would consider adding is being able to put the custom cards into different categories for better organization and quicker use. Otherwise, it's perfect and super easy to navigate.
I like this app a lot! But I'm gonna give it 4 stars only since this app can't be used in landscape mode, and I would love if that would be an option. Another thing that I am not too happy about is that I can't use more than 8 custom cards on my deck.
I wish the deck was bigger please! The app is good, don't get me wrong at all! But being able to use text to speech for your own cards and having a bigger deck would make this much more accessible for many people and easier to communicate with 💗💗
Such a useful app, very customisable but the layout needs improving and it's difficult to use, even for an adult
terrible, confusing, stupid setup. having to press and hold the 3 dots for like 8 seconds is so damn unnecessary and you cant even edit the decks. do not get this app (idk what the other people were on but this isnt good)
