Behind the Sunset Dawn is Imminent - an interactive novel from a small indie studio Last Spring, known for the text quest Where we weren't.

STORY

The mysterious wanderer Victor is forced to lie low in a place called Dawn. This is a village hidden in the Chazytchir valley behind the ridges of the Sayan Mountains.

During the long Siberian winter, Rassvet is almost completely isolated from the outside world. During this period, it is incredibly difficult to get there ... but even more difficult to get out of there.

Of course, in a place like this, things couldn't be as easy as Victor had hoped. And he had no idea what trials would fall to his lot when he decided to go to the Dawn.

GAMEPLAY

The gameplay is basically typical of visual novels, but also draws on simplified mechanics and a lot of variation from classic RPGs.

Gameplay highlights:

💥 The constant availability of choice. Even the most insignificant, at first glance, decisions of the player can have an impact on the development of the plot. And some may have little to no effect.
💥 you have to choose the vector of development of the main character, on which the further style of passing will directly depend. The game features three main skills: eloquence, fitness and perception.
💥 system of relationships with key characters, and the development of their storylines in this regard.
💥 the moral character of the main character, which depends on the actions he has committed and affects the variability of the plot (and even Victor's past).
💥 Lively backgrounds and lighting that immerse you even more into the atmosphere of a Siberian village
💥 Simple mini-games are designed to diversify the reading process (none of them is mandatory for passing).
💥 small cutscenes that give the story a bit of a cinematic feel.

SETTING

The setting and atmosphere Behind Sunset, Dawn Is Imminent is inspired by western and neo-western films and games. However, the action takes place in Siberia in 2001, which creates its own unique and somewhat nostalgic atmosphere.

In the process of passing you will see stunning views of the winter and spring Sayan mountains, as well as various hidden corners of an extraordinary village that keeps many dark secrets.

SOUND AND SOUNDTRACK

The soundtrack consists of an hour and a half (currently) varied soundtrack inspired by the works of great composers such as Ennio Morricone and Gustavo Santaolalla. In addition to music to enhance immersion, we have added many sound effects.
