Application for licensing activities under the Pesticides Act 1974

The Pesticide Board Licensing System (LRMP e-Licence) was developed in 2024 to improve service delivery and full responsible and integrity management for all licensing activities under the Pesticide Act 1974. The licensing activities involved include pesticide storage and sale licenses, pest control service licenses, pesticide manufacturing licenses and the issuance of permits/authorization letters for the use of highly toxic/restricted pesticides. (HTP) by farmers.

This 'LRMP e-License' application has features where all information will be provided to farmers and the public electronically to facilitate users in terms of license issuance where they will get it more efficiently and quickly. In addition, this application will be used to identify the authenticity and validity of the approved license by scanning a quick response code (QR Code). The information data found in the LRMP e-License system will be channeled to the dashboard for the purpose of mapping premises that have approval from the Department of Agriculture.

This application is expected to help farmers and the public get information on premises, factories and licensed pest control operators in Malaysia. It is also to ensure that pesticides sold and used for services are effective and safe. This will help towards reducing the problem of pesticide residues allowed on crops and environmental pollution problems.
