In some aspects this app is even better than Android Auto. For instance I can cast every app installed on my phone to my car screen and even control chosen app from the car screen in case of USB connection. That's very handy. The connection is fast whether it's wireless or wired, I've encountered no lag so far. At first I was unhappy that my GAC GS3 didn't have Android Auto onboard and only CarbitLink but after all I'm sure that CarbitLink is actually quite a good alternative to Android Auto.

Some improvements since early 2024. 1-2 lesser clicks now before actual mirroring to car dash screen. Car radio can't work when it is connected to map on phone. Have to use phone music app and even that is tricky. Too many clicks needed and controls to figure out to make it work. Much time needed before actual driving begin to prepare the app for map and music and link. Some handphone may not work. Thank you.

It's fiddly to connect. If the phone rotates its screen, this also changes. It is a poor substitute for Android Auto. my rental car has not got AA but only this feature. So, instead of connecting one's phone to the AA in an unfamiliar car, one first needs to download the app to the phone and start fiddling. In a far flung country with high roaming charges, for example, that is a right mess to begin with. Car connectivity should not require additional software to be downloaded and installed.
