Session - Private Messenger users say on Google Play
only ues it to communicate with one person at the moment but really like it
Incredibly secure. Fairly easy to set up; needs going through the settings one by one when you first start, but they're pretty simple. I'd say this is an app the security-conscious user could get Mom and Dad set up on without too much trouble.
Generally good. For additional privacy concerns, there are two issues I have. First, the lock app feature should be independent of the phone's lock screen setting. Second, when using the lock app feature, the screen that lists all my chats are visible when I use the "recents" button. I understand showing the app, but being able to see the chat list represents a breach of privacy. Update: it looks like the recents issue was addressed. Hopefully, you are considering the independent lock idea.
Session has the best concept for Instant Messaging & also looks great. However, sadly, the current implementation in no way lives up to this. I've tried to use it as a daily driver for a couple of years, reporting the showstoppers, but they remain. Poor OS support, no Arm Linux, the final straw was my mum's mac being dropped. Poor connectivity over public wifi. Poor message delivery. I will keep it on the PC for casual slow conversation, in the hope it will improve and meet its potential.
hella preds are dming me
