Help someone with ID check

Not everyone has a telephone with an NFC reader. With the CheckID app from DigiD you can help someone add the ID check to his or her DigiD app. Your phone only performs the one-time ID check. Your own DigiD login details are not required for this. No data is stored on your phone. More information at: https://www.digid.nl/id-check

DATA PROCESSING & PRIVACY

With DigiD's CheckID app you can perform a one-off check of an identity document for someone else. The check is carried out by reading the chip on the Dutch driver's license or identity document using the NFC reader on your device. The CheckID app reads the document number, validity and date of birth of an identity card, or the driving license number of a driving license. This data is sent via a secure connection to the DigiD app for which the ID check is carried out. The CheckID app does not process any data from the device on which it is installed for this check.

Additional terms:
• The user is solely responsible for the security of his mobile device.
• Updates for the CheckID app can be downloaded and installed automatically via the app store. These updates are intended to improve, expand or further develop the app and may include fixes for program errors, advanced features, new software modules or completely new versions. Without these updates, the app may not function or not function properly.
• Logius reserves the right to (temporarily) stop offering the CheckID app in the app store or (temporarily) stop the operation of the app without giving reasons.

Reaction to other reviews, this app is ONLY meant for making an ID-check for yourself or another person for ANOTHER device without NFC ability, NOT for doing that check on the same device as the DigiD app is installed on. So, this app DOES what it should as said on the explanation website (see the "about" text). Simply installed it on my phone with NFC to verify for my tablet without NFC to provide that one with a verified ID-check too. Took me just about 2 minutes to get it done. Nice job devs.

Doesn't work with non NL documents including other EU documents

Asks for a "koppelcode", which is great, if the DigiD app would provide you with one. Figured I'd try this app to get my ID verified. I figured, maybe it is my phone, let's use a different one. But nope. Such a BS.
