Puzzle Retreat v1.23
The Voxel AgentsAbout this app
Puzzle Retreat solves the problem of providing a unique and engaging puzzle experience, benefiting casual gamers and puzzle enthusiasts alike. Compared to alternatives in the Game Puzzle category, Puzzle Retreat stands out with its distinctive block sliding mechanism and high user rating of 4.7/5. However, it may fall short in terms of variety, as some users may find the gameplay repetitive. Overall, Puzzle Retreat's excellent rating and large user base are testaments to its appeal.
Pros
- With over 1,000,000 downloads and a 4.7/5 user rating, Puzzle Retreat has demonstrated its ability to provide an enjoyable and challenging experience for a wide range of users.
- The app's lack of ads and minimalistic design contribute to a seamless and distraction-free gaming experience, allowing users to focus on the puzzles.
- The Voxel Agents, the developer, has established a reputation for creating high-quality puzzle games, which is reflected in Puzzle Retreat's polished gameplay and intuitive controls.
- Puzzle Retreat's offline capability and low system requirements make it an excellent choice for users who want to play on-the-go or on lower-end devices.
- The app's regular updates and active developer support ensure that users can expect new content and improvements over time.
Cons
- Some users may find the in-app purchases, which range from $0.99 to $8.99 per item, to be a drawback, as they may feel pressured to spend money to progress or access certain features.
- The app's permission analysis reveals that it requires no permissions, which is a positive aspect, but it also means that users may not be able to access certain features or functionalities that require permissions, such as leaderboards or cloud saves.
- Puzzle Retreat's gameplay, while engaging, may become repetitive for some users, as the core mechanics remain the same throughout the game.
- The app's content rating of 'Everyone' may not accurately reflect the game's difficulty level, as some puzzles may be challenging for younger users.
Best for: The ideal user for Puzzle Retreat is a casual gamer or puzzle enthusiast, likely between the ages of 18 and 45, who enjoys challenging and unique puzzle games, has a basic understanding of touchscreen controls, and is looking for a fun and engaging experience to play on-the-go or during short breaks.

Puzzle Retreat users say on Google Play
I am not a puzzle player, but this game keeps sucking me in with each new phone. It is so refreshing to play a game with zero ads, and the excitement felt when I win a level is worth the money spent. I just wish I didn't lose my progress each time I buy a new phone.
Fun....whooda thunk....for a small game, this is quite enjoyable. Alot better than those take a screw / give a screw games, gets more complicated as you go. Try it.
Absolutely LOVE this game.. great levels. Adding the fire and trees keeps it from getting repetitive. I would rate 5 stars but since it only lets you play so far then you have to buy the rest of the levels, which not everyone can afford such "luxuries" isn't fair. Also wished for the option to turn music off but leave sound effects on, it's kind of ASMR for me.
Had this game on the Windows Phone platform. Unfortunately, the soundtrack is on a loop-after you finish a puzzle, the soundtrack plays and is supposed to stop when you complete the puzzle, but it just continues to play and it is not even the soundtrack designated for that level! I had mute the sound. On other platforms (Window Phone, iOS) this glitch is not present. I wasted money buying all levels packs. Developers have not responded to the issue for over 12 months. Stick to the free levels.
