Developer Description
A Strategic Single-player Roguelike Deckbuilder
π Unique Roguelike Deckbuilding Strategy Single-play Role-playing Card Game
In Lost Pages, play with an entirely new and unique original deckbuilding system. The elemental deckbuilding system we've devised doesn't involve random card draws but instead requires a random draw of resources (elements of fire, water, earth, air) to use spells. This novel approach was recognized for its originality at the Google Indie Game Festival, offering a completely new deckbuilding experience.
π Ether Element System
Going beyond just drawing elements, a distinctive element called Ether makes the game even more rich. The nature of the Ether element is determined at the moment it is drawn, and it always triggers a draw of another element, potentially leading to a chain draw.
π Overwhelming Variation and Freedom
Lost Pages boasts an incredible number of various magic circles, artifacts, and runes. Depending on the user's choices, the deck changes freely. Such variation and freedom keep the gameplay constantly engaging, combined with the user's growing stats, offering unimaginably diverse experiences.
βοΈ 106 Levels for Endless Challenges
Clearing just the six basic levels is a significant challenge, but the 100 levels of the Dimensional Gate mode remain as a goal for players to strive for, even years after release.
π¬ Unique Story and Beautiful Animation
Lost Pages is the first installment in a series, grounded in a profound universe centered around the birth of the moon. Currently, it includes eight original animations, with more captivating story animations continuously being added.

The game is honestly very impressive, heavy on the min-max and tactical aspect of what I love about the genre, aiming to turn your char into a god and just keep pushing it further. The monetization is really scary when you see $30 purchases but turns out they're all unnecessary. The real game price is just the Ad Removal and the Premium pay pass which are both fairly priced like an indie game and you will be swimming in loots for just playing the game.
I have absolutely no clue what the story is on about, but the gameplay is pretty good. Game might need a written guide you can click on for if you weren't completely paying attention during the tutorial though. Completed the entire first run without really understanding every thing. maybe that's an argument for it being too easy, but it was easy mode so I guess that's fine.
Monetization city. The game is fun, but the prices are horrendous. 40$ for a pass, that's crazy, especially considering games like slay the spire are 15$ and offer everything. The systems in play need to be refined because there's certainly a fantastic game here, because it's good currently, but they just fall short on several systems. It does feel like the devs are just squeezing what money they can out of it, it genuinely feels like "well I could do more, but I'm turning a profit so meh."
The game itself seems really well designed, a nice take on the Slay the Spire genre. But once you pass the first run, the absurd monetizations make it borderline unplayable. Shame, as there were some really nice design elements that I would have liked to see more of. I'm open to buying a game, but not when it has an exploitive pricing model
I can't get in and play. It keeps wanting to ask me for pop-up permissions and I cannot choose an option because it will freeze and crash. The one time I was able to get in, I was on the home screen with a perpetual "Loading Code" and a loading screen.
