before you read any reviews complaining about "one game a day" until you pay a few bucks, read this. gubbins features gorgeous graphics, smooth animation, unique gameplay, quirky characters, tons of free stickers and backgrounds, and even a custom original soundtrack with live instruments, all for free. not only that, but it's a mobile game with—get this: no ads ever! on top of all that, it is developed by an indie studio, which makes funding even harder. it doesn't even feel like a mobile game!

I paid for unlimited play, definitely worth the investment for a game I play every day. I think of it as similar to paying for a physical board game. I wish there was a bonus for clearing the board with no tiles left anywhere since this always feels like quite an achievement when it happens. Maybe 300 points or so?

Edit: the game has started crashing a lot mid game when moving tiles. I have cleared cache and data, un-installed, and reinstalled. Not working.

Upon opening the game I was prompted to provide consent to share my data. This data "may be stored by, accessed by and shared with 198 TCF vendor(s) and 121 ad partner(s)." I can either "Consent" with one click or manually withdraw my consent by going through a long list and deselect the listed parties one by one. I consider this practice done with malicious intent. I paid €6.49 for this game. I am thus very disappointed that the creators of this game opted to sell my data to third parties.
