JAMMATES v1.1.16
JAMMATESAbout this app
JAMMATES is an app designed to enhance practice sessions for musicians by providing backing tracks recorded by professionals, solving the problem of finding high-quality accompaniment for rehearsal. This app benefits musicians, particularly those in need of structured practice sessions with realistic accompaniment, the most. Compared to alternatives in the Music And Audio category, JAMMATES stands out with its focus on professional backing tracks, though it falls short in terms of a free version or trial, which might limit its adoption. Its unique selling point is the quality of the backing tracks, which could justify the paid model for serious musicians.
Pros
- The app's good user rating of 3.6 out of 5 suggests that users find it generally useful and of good quality, which is a positive indicator for potential users.
- With no ads, the user experience is not interrupted, allowing for focused practice sessions, which is beneficial for musicians who need to concentrate.
- The app's small size and lack of required permissions suggest it is lightweight and respectful of user privacy, making it a good choice for those concerned about data security.
- The developer's website and provided email address indicate a level of transparency and support, which is reassuring for users who might need assistance or have questions.
- The in-app purchases suggest that users can expand the app's functionality or access more content, which could be appealing to users looking for a comprehensive practice solution.
Cons
- The paid model at $15.99 might be a barrier for casual users or those on a tight budget, limiting the app's accessibility to a broader audience.
- The lack of a free version or trial means potential users cannot test the app before committing to a purchase, which might deter some from buying.
- With only 1,000+ downloads, the app's user base is relatively small, which might impact the diversity of available backing tracks or the frequency of updates.
- There are no permissions requested, which is unusual and might indicate either a very simple app or one that does not fully leverage device capabilities, potentially limiting its functionality.
Best for: The ideal user for JAMMATES is a serious musician, likely in the intermediate to advanced skill range, who regularly practices and is looking for high-quality backing tracks to enhance their rehearsal sessions, and is willing to invest in their musical development, including paying for an app and potentially additional in-app content.

Its a really good idea! A whole difference experince playing with a good backingtrack played by real musicians. There is a lot of track actually which is good but you still wont find all the standards. I hope they record even more in the future! But altogether its a great concept, i recommend this for everyone who wants to practice
it might be great if these problems can be solved: 1. Now it is not possible to save/move the dowloaded tunes to external storage such as SD card. Since I don't have so much memory left on my internal storage, I can't save/download too many tunes. I can only have 5 or 6 tunes at once. If I want a new tune I have to remove the old one so that I can get it. 2. The loading time takes too long. It takes almost 30s to open one tune, and it takes another 30s again if you wanna change the tempo.
I don't seem to see much improvement with each update. Please, give option to be able to change the font size. Letters are really tiny, hard to see them properly especially when you play in a gig...Also it would be a nice option to be able to download the soundtracks more at a time. Having to do it one by one and wait until the previous on is download is real pain in the bottom.
Suddenly my account is gone together with all my purchases!!! My account just doesn't exist anymore!
