I generally find the app limited, but useful. Some issues need attention. Firstly is the issue of listing books by Irish authors in the British section. Whoever is responsible for this needs to familiarize themselves with European geography. Secondly, works of American and world literature in translation are very poorly represented. Borrowbox is an Australian company, and as a consequence appears to have a Colonial mindset.

The app is extremely basic. Shows no evidence of ongoing development. It appears to be used by libraries primarily because it is cheap rather than being fit for purpose. There is no meaningful ability to search, organise, or manage content, which makes it frustrating to use. Suggestions for improvement are acknowledged but then ignored or never acted upon. Overall, it gives the impression that there is little or no active software development team maintaining or improving the product.
