The subscription is lower than Kindle, but Amazon does have lock on many titles. But I'm happy to support authors through this retailer rather than Amz. The prices are the same or better, the in app reading experience is great. I like the organizational/search tools for My Library: much more comprehensive than Amz. I love that I can actually use a shopping cart to check out, rather than "one click". One gripe: app loads extremely slow on opening.

this app is consistently very buggy and asking support does not seem to produce updates with fixes. Margins in this version are too big, taking quarter of screen for no reason and switching between apps leads to seeing black screen in kobo after lock/unlock (and some time passed..)

The latest update has completely broken the app. It is no longer able to turn pages in my books. Also, why does it use more data than video streaming services? This is a barely adequate e-reader with a serious bug causing it to lose the page you're up to just often enough to be incredibly irritating. I cannot recommend this app.
