This proven 14 week plan is designed for true beginner/novice runners who want to train for a half marathon, but have very little running experience. This run/walk program is perfect for newcomers, as the walk breaks help mentally break up the race into segments, so you can focus on one section at a time. These breaks help make the half/full marathon less grueling, as well as reduces the overall impact and risk of injury.
But don't think that just because walking is involved that your time will be slower, or that you're accomplishing less. Loved the app and used it for my first half marathon, but now that I got a new phone, they want to charge me a subscription fee after I purchased the app almost 2 years ago. Very disappointed. UPDATE: I emailed them to get this resolved as they recommended, and I did hear back right away. They were very kind and helpful are working to get this resolved. Will update again when resolved. UPDATE #2: Back to 5 stars. They sent me a code so that I could see every workout again! 😊
Ok. It is functional however the tracker tracks me different mileage and different routes when I run the exact same route day after day. I doubt that the actual mileage is correct so I would not use it as a tracker for PR's by any means which sucks because runners want to know their times and mileage. I will look for a better ap.
Solid app so far, but frustrated with a few things. The app will sometimes get killed and lose my tracking progress. The biggest issue is that there's no watch support. It's weird because the C25K version of the app has watch support and this one doesn't. Please add watch support!
I would give more stars cause I do love this app for training for the half marathon my sister and I run every year but super pissed now because I've used it no problem for the last 4 years and now its forcing me to pay a fee to go pro otherwise you can't go past the first week. Considering I paid for this app. Guess they want to lose customers now.
Runners beware. I did the c25k then 10k, then without reading the reviews downloaded this and started "training" for a half marathon. I assumed it would progress to actually get me to be able to run a half marathon. I'm now 5 weeks in and my endurance is completely diminished. I'll have to start over again with a 10k app and then move on to half marathon again (using an app that is NOT this one). I understand the concept of intervals, but I can feel my endurance and fitness diminishing. So sad.
