Addictive, challenging, strategic, and pretty rewarding. You don't have to be familiar with the base multiplayer gwent to get into this. A good roguelike deck builder that works differently to most card games. Although for completely new players to gwent, the tutorial is barebones, and some of the card mechanics will require trial and error to simply figure out. Also wish there was more variety in the enemies, but that's after playing this for 10 hours give or take.

UPDATE: took 8 days but finally got all deluxe goods & they released an update to fix scrolling issues. Game is decent. But as others have said, the UI is clunky & just bad on mobile: scrolling is horrendous or non-existent sometimes, show/hide often overlap or disappear when playing spells, some sections in lab seem pointless or poorly thought out. And the worse thing is bought the deluxe and still haven't gotten items in Gwent after 2+ days & still waiting to hear back from support.

The game is decent. The mobile controls need more confirmation buttons. Like choosing a location on the map, you touch it to see what it is and it immediately chooses it rather than showing a description and a go here y/n prompt. Long pressing on cards for a detailed view is inconsistent and takes multiple tries. As for combat when an AI opponent can't conceivably win after a point during the match they should be made to concede to speed up the battles.

The game is ok. I love Gwent and I love roguelikes but the game balance is off. Not worth the $10 right now. It has potential but needs some tweaks like going to the best 2 out of 3 or giving you a choice of starting cards. It is fun for a bit and then frustrating. Roguelikes are hard to master and this one just feels repetitive. You have no chance of winning until you are a high level which is just a grind. This game feels like a grind!

The inability to actually build a deck defeats the purpose of a card base game. A complete bait and switch from what we all loved in the Witcher 3. Please do not buy this, it is too expensive for what it has to offer. It has a lot of promise but fails to come through. I hope they can make changes and give people the opportunity to build decks that they get to keep.
