EverythingWeather v1.4.01
corymotticeAbout this app
EverythingWeather solves the problem of providing accurate and reliable weather forecasts by leveraging data directly from NOAA's National Weather Service, making it an excellent choice for individuals who rely on precise weather information for their daily activities. This app benefits users who value data-driven insights and are willing to pay for premium features. Compared to other weather apps, EverythingWeather stands out with its top-tier user rating and minimalistic approach to permissions. However, its limited download numbers and lack of a free version with full features might make it less appealing to casual users.
Pros
- With a user rating of 4.8 out of 5, EverythingWeather demonstrates a high level of user satisfaction, indicating a well-designed and functional app that meets the needs of its users.
- The app's decision to not include ads enhances the user experience, providing an uninterrupted interface for users to access weather information.
- By utilizing data from NOAA's National Weather Service, EverythingWeather ensures that the information provided is reliable and accurate, which is crucial for users who depend on weather forecasts for planning purposes.
- The developer's transparent approach to monetization, with clear in-app purchase options ranging from $3.99 to $34.99, allows users to choose the features they need without being subjected to aggressive advertising.
- The absence of any permissions requests suggests a focus on user privacy and a minimalistic approach to data collection, which is a significant advantage for users concerned about their personal data.
Cons
- The limited number of downloads, currently at 5,000+, might indicate that the app has not yet reached a broad audience, potentially limiting the feedback and updates that could further improve the app.
- The lack of a completely free version with full features might deter some users who are accustomed to free weather apps with comprehensive functionalities, even if those apps include advertisements.
- The app's requirement for Android 7.0 or higher might exclude users with older devices, limiting its accessibility to a broader range of Android users.
- There is a potential concern regarding the long-term support and updates for the app, given the relatively small user base and the dependence on a single developer for maintenance and improvements.
Best for: The ideal user for EverythingWeather is likely an individual who values accurate and reliable weather forecasts, such as outdoor enthusiasts, commuters, or professionals in weather-sensitive industries, and is willing to pay for premium features to ensure they have the best possible data to plan their activities, with a moderate to high level of technical skill to navigate the app's features and in-app purchases effectively.

So far this app looks great! not overcrowded like some of the other "advanced" weather apps, already has good customization options for lots of different weather data, LOVE that its so easy to get the SPC outlooks just right there on the map. Honestly main thing its missing so far is notifications, which are listed as coming soon. what i really want: notifications that pop up when a risk over a threshold is issued for my area/county! hope yall keep working on this, looking good so far!
everything I can see it's a real good app. I like it a lot. But I dont think it separates itself enough to pay a high price though. Maybe if it was one time purchase. Budgets to tight to justify
Looks to be a promising app. Would like to see upcoming precipitation notifications along with watches and warning notifications and widgets. Also, pollen data would be helpful along with lightning data. It would also benefit from faster data updating to keep up with current conditions. This is a good start and I hope the developer continues to add features.
I was super excited to try this app because my meteorologist friend recommended it, but sadly it's mostly useless for me. The location permissions didn't work with the app so there's a warning. I changed the home tab to favorites so I don't have to see the warning every time I open the app, but there's also a constant pop-up notification about the NWS API being out. The Mexico City weather forecast sometimes works and sometimes doesn't from second to second. Also would be nice to have a widget.
App never find my location. Error unable to determine location. App have all permission and location is enable. some of the words are cut like city or state.
