DevolverDigitalAbout this app
Enter the Gungeon DEMO is a bullet hell dungeon crawler that solves the problem of monotony in action games by offering a unique blend of exploration and intense combat, benefiting fans of fast-paced games and those looking for a challenge. Compared to alternatives in the Game Action category, it stands out with its distinctive pixel art style and procedurally generated levels. However, its short demo version may leave players wanting more, and the full game's in-app purchases might be a turn-off for some. Overall, it's a great option for those seeking a thrilling experience, but with some caveats.
Pros
- With over 500,000 downloads and a 3.8/5 rating, Enter the Gungeon DEMO has demonstrated its appeal to a sizable audience, indicating a well-designed and engaging gameplay experience.

- The absence of ads and minimalistic permission requests are significant advantages, providing a distraction-free experience and alleviating privacy concerns.
- The game's offline capability allows for play on-the-go without requiring a constant internet connection, enhancing its accessibility and usability.
- The procedurally generated levels offer nearly endless replayability, keeping the game exciting and challenging even after multiple playthroughs.
Cons
- The demo version's limited content may not fully represent the game's potential, potentially leading to disappointment or frustration for players expecting a more comprehensive experience.
- The in-app purchases, priced at $6.99 per item, might be perceived as aggressive or exploitative, especially considering the game's free initial download.
- Some users may find the game's difficulty level and bullet hell mechanics overwhelming or frustrating, which could lead to a negative experience and deter players from continuing.
- The lack of information about the game's data collection practices, despite having no permissions, raises some privacy concerns and warrants caution.

I'm still amazed at how they managed to get THE WHOLE DAM GAME on a mobile port! It was already one of my favourite rogue likes on pc, so I'm happy to say this port more then makes justice to it's awesomeness! It still has a couple quirks to work out and some very occasional minor bugs (also doesn't have the gungeon rap when you finish a run which is a real bummer and I don't understand why :/) but otherwise just perfect. Also I'm almost at 100% completion :D
One of my favorite games. I'm glad it's on mobile! A few issues with gameplay however. 1. Manual aim works poorly for weapons with charged or single shots (clicking to fire on the aiming joystick while moving with the other sometimes fires shots in the direction the character is MOVING instead of where they are aiming. 2. Using the red save button by the Oubliette entrance causes a crash sending you back to the breach Update: 1/3 of my issues is fixed. Excited for manual aim to be fixed one day
I was excited to have this game come out a week before I had to take a 6 hour flight. Bought the full game, got every component to level 5 for the bullet...get to my flight put my phone in airplane mode and the game tells me I need to purchase the full game to play past the first chamber. Seriously?! The game currently has a lot of other issues with controls if youre using a Bluetooth controller...needs fixing and DRM issues apparently. Boo 👎.
It's fun, but this game needs an optimization patch ASAP! There is absolutely no reason why this game is dropping frames on my S21+. Also, some buttons are offset. like, when you're in the book and you're tapping on weapons, some you have to tap outside of them to actually select them. UI definitely needs an overhaul, as the touch controls feel clunky and unfinished. It's been a couple of months, and there's still no optimization update... If anything, the frame stutter has gotten worse! Shame..
Please add a separate "fire" button, so i can pre-aim without firing, this will be useful for mobile control, and on my recent run i found another bug, I'm permanently unable to teleport, the map didn't respond when I tapped.
