Edit for 10/2025: I still highly recommend Shudder however that solid software I talked about back in 2019 remains relatively unchanged. It really needs an overhaul, the Android TV app is a muddled mess that needs to be completely replaced. Shudder is a fantastic streaming service backed by really solid software. For everything you get for five bucks it has to be among the best value in movie streaming. Especially if you are a horror fan you will find something to enjoy here. Well worth it!

OMG! I had this streaming service for a long time but then they started saying that the card I have on file needs to be updated. They would send a few emails saying they couldn't use that card(which has sufficient funds, albeit they keep on rejecting THAT one, and keep insisting I use a card that I've never used to pay for my subscription before? I don't mind that they show older movies and I love watching Dragula and Creep Show. How are u fixing anything?

love the service and horror movies i get to watch. my low rating is about the app. it's terribly done and freezes up a lot even after using it on my brand new phone. i don't want to compare it to netflix, but why can't they do the app similar to that? or tubi?! both work well and never freeze up on me.

The app no longer launches on my phone. most of the time I can get it to work on the Roku, but about 6 months ago it just flat out refused to open on my Redmagic 9s. I tried all combinations of uninstall/ reinstall, cache clear, phone reboot, and force stopping. I've held this service for at least two years, but will not be renewing with the price hike if they can't even prioritize compatibility.
