MASKEUM Kirchseeon vVARY

An app full of mysticism and knowledge transfer awaits Perchten fans big and small as added value when visiting the MASKEUM. An all-round application as a shared experience for the whole family.

“Mrs Percht” will take visitors by the hand on a short tour of the MASKEUM and accompany them to various information hotspots. At the end of the tour you can take a virtual look into the depot before “Mrs Percht” says goodbye.

We have provided a series of questions and answers about the Kirchseeon Perchten tradition in order to deepen your individual knowledge.

The visitor receives input...
• on the history of the “Perschtenbund Soj Kirchseeon” and the opportunities to get involved.
• Tasks of the “Perschten Foundation Kirchseeon” to preserve the Perchten tradition locally.
• Possibilities in which the local Perchten custom can be supported financially through the “Förderverein MASKEUM e.V.”
• “So scary, so beautiful! What is wandering in the dark winter night?” Background to the mystical “Bavarian Rauhnacht” by the folk-rock band “SCHARIWARI”.

There are further “footprints” of the Kirchseeoner Perchten custom outside of the MASKEUM. A worthwhile walk for all visitors. A cycling or hiking tour takes you through numerous natural sights from the MASKEUM to the “Forest and Environment” museum in Ebersberg. An interactive map supports the route.

When visiting the MASKEUM, the guest receives various information such as opening times, free entry, access options using various means of transport, parking options and accessibility.

The MASKEUM Kirchseeon:
Small but nice. Here the visitor learns a lot of background information about Kirchseeon's Perchten customs and, among other things, has the unique opportunity to get to know many Perchten masks in detail, combined with their respective mysticism and symbolism. As an additional offer, numerous media stations offer further information for self-discovery. A worthwhile visit combined with an experience for the whole family in a small, qualitative splash of color in the Bavarian museum landscape.

Notes on use:
There is free WiFi on site for downloading to a mobile device. Once downloaded, the content is available offline without an internet connection. Please use your own headphones in MASKEUM to listen to the audio contributions. You can download it at home and prepare it for your visit to the MASKEUM.

In order to further improve the overall experience with the app, the app is regularly revised and new content is added. With the support of the Bayerische Sparkassenstiftung, the MASKEUM app is based on the fabulAPP project of the state office for non-state museums in Bavaria.
