The Black Library Audio App is the ultimate way to experience Black Library’s wide range of audiobooks and audio dramas wherever you are, whenever you want, right on your phone and tablet. Browse the range on your device; buy and download your chosen audio right there into your library, and listen to it in the app.
There are two types of audio adventures available in the app, set across the worlds of Warhammer 40,000, The Horus Heresy and Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
AUDIOBOOKS
With our audiobooks you get to experience the story as it was meant to be heard. Word for word your narrator will read the story to you, straight from the page. Audiobooks are usually full and unabridged versions of novels, novellas or short stories.
AUDIO DRAMAS
With our audio dramas you are immersed in the story. Gunfire, battle cries and music form the backdrop on which actors play out the characters. The narrator links the tale together so all you have to do is listen to the action. Audio Drama’s are uniquely scripted and can range in length between roughly 10 minutes and 2 hours.
LIBRARY
Browse the audiobooks and audio dramas you’ve purchased in the app’s Library.
PLAYER

Don't get me wrong its really good app, it's just audible beat you to it. I use them and have about 15/20 black library audiobooks on there. If I could add pictures to this review I would show you aha

I think it's okay. I'd like them to add more of the books here but it's pretty good. My only real complaint is the amount if battery life it consumes even with the screen off. Also you can only download books through wifi, which isn't always available on the go.

The app is pretty good and a nice place to have all your auidobooks in one place. However, the only main issue i have with it is that in order to run the app, you cannot have any other apps open at all. If you wish to listen to a book you have to close everything down, play the book, then put your phone down and not touch it. If you open up, say FB, or check a text message, then it will most likely stop playing the book, and you have to go in and reselect it to play again. Please fix that issue.

Absolutely garbage, but seemingly the only way to get the best books. Can't download. App will suddenly stop playing if other audio prompted (like Google maps). When audio stops, it clears the "now playing screen," and you have to go find your book again (I have a large selection). It doesn't have great filtering options in the store. Several more enhancements can be made for an app that's been around for almost a decade.

The app gives you a nice place to access your collection. However there are some major issues. If you are listening to it while driving and have Google Maps on, it will stop the audio when google gives you directions. You will have to hit play each time it stops. Also if you stop it and close your phone it clears the now playing, but leaves the notification bar that gives you the option to play what you were listening to. The play button at this point does nothing. These issues need to be fixed.
