Stash Hub: Sewing Organiser v1.46.1
Huge Tooth StudiosAbout this app
Stash Hub: Sewing Organiser is a niche app that solves the problem of disorganisation for sewing enthusiasts, helping them catalog and manage their sewing supplies and projects. It benefits most those who have a large stash of sewing materials and are looking for a digital way to keep track of their inventory. Compared to other apps in the Art And Design category, Stash Hub stands out with its specific focus on sewing organisation, but may fall short in terms of broader creative functionalities. The app's simplicity and lack of permissions required are notable advantages, but its limited user base and potential for in-app purchase costs may deter some users.
Pros
- With over 10,000 downloads and a generally positive user rating of 3.6/5, Stash Hub has demonstrated social proof and a certain level of quality that users appreciate.
- The app's developer, Huge Tooth Studios, provides a professional website and email contact, indicating a level of commitment to user support and feedback.
- The absence of ads within the app enhances the user experience, allowing users to focus on organising their sewing supplies without interruptions.
- The app's offline capability, implied by its lack of permissions, means users can access and manage their sewing stash data even without an internet connection.
- Stash Hub's specific focus on sewing organisation sets it apart from more general organisation or crafting apps, potentially making it more useful for dedicated sewing enthusiasts.
Cons
- The in-app purchase model, with prices ranging from $3.49 to $32.99 per item, may be seen as aggressive or costly for some users, potentially limiting the app's accessibility to those on a budget.
- Despite its positive rating, the total number of ratings is relatively low, which might not fully represent the app's quality or user satisfaction across a broader user base.
- The app's functionality might be limited for users who require more comprehensive sewing project management features or integration with other crafting tools.
- There is a potential for the app to become outdated or less supported if the developer does not continue to update it regularly, which could impact its long-term usefulness.
Best for: The ideal user for Stash Hub is a dedicated sewing enthusiast, likely an adult with a moderate to high level of technical skill, who has accumulated a significant stash of sewing materials and projects and is seeking a digital tool to efficiently organise and manage their inventory, potentially for personal or small-scale commercial purposes.

It worked for a minute. I could add pictures of my fabric with stats. After the update I couldn't get the app to show my fabrics. I paid for the premium service and feel ripped off. UPDATE: the app creater has been trying to fix this issue. I will upgrade this review when this issue is finally fixed. Update the next day. The developer quickly solved my issue.
I like the layout, I like the functionality and I like that I can see everything in one place. But I didn't realise you could I only store 20 patterns and spent ages inputting them to get stuck. I don't sew enough to pay for the upgrade, but that doesn't stop it being a good app for someone who sews a lot and can afford it.
This looked like just the thing for my fabric stash until I realized that you can only enter 20 items unless you upgrade to the subscription based unlimited Plus version. I have no problem with paying a one time price for a good app or program but I dont do monthly/yearly subscription based ones where i'll lose all my work if I stop paying. This might be just the thing for some people, but not for me.
This is a great app, but 30 dollars a YEAR for it? I don't understand why the information that's being saved to a server can't just be saved to my phone. I would pay a one time fee for this app, the function is great but not subscription worthy.b
Should dictate immediately, preferably on the download page, but at least somewhere before registering an account that this is a demo. At least I could delete my account on my own without contacting the devs. Would be willing to pay a one time purchase fee but not a subscription. I understand devs need to make money and support servers but I loathe software as service and refuse to be bitten by it. I'm going to continue to using GCStar, it seems.
