The pay version is TOTALLY worth it! I hesitated b/c I loved the free version, and, like many who wrote scathing reviews, hesitated to pay to subscribe. But the pay version is AWESOME. and here's some honesty: when it was free, they asked for contributions, and I always meant to make one since I saved SO much money using the app... and I never did. I am guessing a lot of us did that. And the negative reviews are right: without a subscription it doesn't work well at all... so pay for a month!

it would be 5 stars if it wasnt for the scam pop up ads that come across now and then that could do some serious damage to your phone or personal information if you fell for the scam. beware of the pop ups. none of them are real, even the ones saying you must update the app. its malware. just close out ioverlander completely and you have to restart it. other than that, even with the free version, this is perfect! i dont mind zooming in state by state to download somewhere new along the way.

I loved this app and have used it for years! I've had so many wonderful adventures thanks to the first I overlander app. I came to this app happy to support the new development of a second app. unfortunately it's not as easy to use and the multi subscription levels lost me. I'd be happy to pay a monthly or yearly fee for the same access as the last app had, but charging people $5.99 p/m & still gatekeeping features unless you pay even more was a no for me for now:( I hope it is a success tho!

Ioverlander was working so well, why are they modifying a good recipe, now it's so hard to find places zooming in and out, seeing dots different colors for no reason. getting bigger and smaller without finding what we're looking for. Fire that programmer who messed up IOverlander please. Plus we can't highway numbers even if you zoom in

Updating review so developer understands the issues. Took a great minimal app that worked anywhere and made it a mess of subscriptions, paywalls, and ads. Would I have paid $10 for ioverlander? Totally, and did donate. Do I want to pay $5 a month or more? absolutely not, AND it has ads. Want to change your basemap? Pro fee. Want to download more than 3 small areas? Unlimited (higher) fee. Totally would support this being an ad supported app. But ads and most of the app subscription based? 1 star
