#46 in Top Grossing Apps in Ireland
Irish Times News users say on Google Play
Great journalism poor app
No mention of the 8 article per week limit in description. No limit on the website which is identical.
Content is great and navigation has improved from the previous app, but basic functionality needs more work. Notifications should go to the right article and not the home page. The app behaves very poorly when data connection is lost, immediately closing the article being read.
was a subscriber but the app was so drab and unappealing I rarely used it. it's still a very poor app and really feels out of date in presentation, UI and visual media aspects in today's landscape
The app keeps crashing, you can't swipe between catagories, and there is no longer a way to react to frankly some poor, one sided articles. Almost 4 months after my initial post and many emails to app support their response is, 'try reinstalling it...." No change and not very confidence inspiriting. The app is poorly coded, has some serious functional deficiencies and needs to be overhauled if The Irish Times is serious about digital journalism.
