This is a companion app of Navigation Viewer client app for Huawei Harmony NEXT / Harmony OS / Harmony Lite OS series smartwatches.

ⓘ If your watch is connected but this app shows unauthorized status, please uninstall this app and install again.
ⓘ Go to Settings / Apps / App launch, search for Navigation - G Maps Viewer, switch off the toggle, change to Manage manually (Huawei and Xiaomi users)

Prerequisites:
• Application works on: HUAWEI WATCH 5 NEXT, HUAWEI GT6 / GT5 / GT4 / GT3 PRO / GT3, ULTIMATE, HUAWEI FIT 4, FIT 3 and FIT 2, HUAWEI WATCH D, HUAWEI WATCH 4, HUAWEI WATCH 3 smartwatches
• Navigation Viewer client app must be installed on smartwatch from AppGallery on smartwatch or via HEALTH app on phone

Navigation is Android Google Maps™ app navigation viewer for Huawei smartwatches.
This app shows navigational directions and plays voice guidance that comes directly from Google Maps™ Android app right on your smartwatch.

How it works:
First time after installation:
• Launch this Navigation Viewer companion app in phone or tablet
• Grant requested permission

Every time when you want to use navigation:
• Launch Android Google Maps™ in phone or tablet
• Launch Navigation Viewer client app in smartwatch
• Google Maps™ directions will be shown on smartwatch
• Google Maps™ voice guidance will be played on smartwatch
• Incoming manoeuvres are signaled in smartwatch by simple or advanced vibrations: left turns will be signaled via two short vibrations, right turns will be signaled via three shorts vibrations

ⓘ This app shows only directions, distances, manoeuvres and ETA, map is not displayed on smartwatch.

⚠ Voice guidance and advanced vibra notifications are played on the smartwatch when it is paired with Android 10 or below phone.

ⓘ If you have problems with displaying navigation directions on the watch, please check the following:
✓ Launch this Navigation Viewer host app in phone and check if all permissions are granted
✓ Make sure that watch and phone are connected via bluetooth
✓ Check Settings / Apps / Navigation / Battery / Allow background activity -> should be enabled or set to Unrestricted
✓ Make sure that notifications are enabled for the Android Google Maps™ app, go to Settings / Apps / Maps / Notifications
✓ Go to Settings / Apps / App launch, search for Navigation - G Maps Viewer, switch off the toggle, change to Manage manually (Huawei and Xiaomi users)
✓ Directions in watch are shown only when navigation in Android Google Maps™ is started (it is not enough to just launch Google Maps™ app)
