The app works for me, initially I had to remove all Bluetooth connection from my phone. Another feature I wish the Tripper had is a : off line map & tachometer. I don't have internet connection on my phone. One more useful addition would be a tire temperature and pressure sensor that connects via Bluetooth. That’s entirely feasible. So come on, Royal Enfield—time to get to work!
Update to miles and feet. Metric is useless in American market.
What I like. Works very well for directions. The simple arrow based navigation works very well and the navigation dial itself is clutter free. You can buy something like a moto beeline but that costs $200+ The fact that this comes built in is great. What is missing. 1.Should be able to chose alternate routes, like one can do in Google maps. 2. Needs a setting so that trips are remembered. 3. Needs a setting so that you can set a 'home' or 'work' address.
I'm okay with a basic turn arrows and distance but it MUST WORK. I spent an hour todaytrying to find my to a destination in Portland that should have taken no more 5-10 minutes. Tripper failed! I decided to let Tripper do it's thing... for over 30 minutes. I switched to Google Maps, looked at the map, and was there in 7 minutes. Tripper is like having a drunk friend in the pasenger seat trying to navigate. Again... It's. A. Failure.
The direction are very different from what google maps provides. It confused a tunnel in Seattle and got me lost. Also, I cannot see my Google maps saved locations, or to share locations from google maps to tripper. The audio directions are also very quite and volume levels cannot be adjusted. I can also not save any of my destinations. Why can't I send my path and destination from google maps directly to the app?
