Tone It Up: Fitness App v2.8.6
Tone it UpAbout this app
Tone It Up: Fitness App solves the problem of finding a comprehensive and women-focused fitness program, benefitting individuals seeking a supportive community and personalized workout plans. Compared to alternatives in the Health And Fitness category, Tone It Up stands out with its well-received user rating of 4.4/5 and moderate download numbers, indicating a dedicated user base. However, the app's limited Android requirement of 7.0 might fall short for users with older devices. The app's unique approach to at-home workouts for women sets it apart from more generic fitness apps.
Pros
- With over 100,000 downloads and a high user rating, Tone It Up has established a strong reputation for providing effective and engaging fitness content, making it a trustworthy choice for users.
- The app's free download with in-app purchases allows users to try out the service before committing to a paid plan, providing flexibility and minimizing financial risk.
- Tone It Up's developer, Tone it Up, has a professional website and email support, indicating a commitment to customer service and accountability.
- The absence of ads in the app ensures an uninterrupted user experience, allowing individuals to focus on their workouts without distractions.
- The app's frequent updates, as indicated by its version history, suggest that the developers are actively working to improve and expand the app's features and content.
Cons
- The app's limited compatibility with Android versions below 7.0 might exclude some potential users, particularly those with older devices or limited access to updates.
- While the in-app purchases offer flexibility, the price range of $11.49 to $99.99 per item might be prohibitively expensive for some users, potentially limiting accessibility.
- The lack of information about the app's data collection and usage policies raises concerns about user privacy, particularly in the context of health and fitness data.
- Some users might find the app's focus on at-home workouts for women limiting, as it may not cater to the diverse needs and preferences of all fitness enthusiasts.
Best for: The ideal user for Tone It Up is a woman seeking a supportive and personalized fitness program that can be completed at home, with a moderate level of technical skill and a willingness to engage with the app's community features and in-app purchases to maximize their workout experience.

Tone It Up: Fitness App users say on Google Play
I forgot how much I love Tone It Up and this app has great instructors and variety! It works really well too. Edit: I still love the app and all the workouts it offers but now it doesn't work right if I don't turn on location services. I have no interest in that part of the app, but if I don't turn on my location and instead click "no thanks" it repeatedly and immediately keeps popping up with a notation to turn on location services. It's annoying.
I love this app and TIU! It's great for keeping me on track and I love that they added the meal plan to it, no more shuffling through year's of plan downloads. Two things could make it 5 stars for me: 1. Let the user choose when to move to the next week. The progress wheel moves on its own and you can never go back to get your checkmark, which for some people is infuriating. 2. Make the workouts temporarily downloadable or give a much wider buffer for those of us with unreliable internet.
I'm doing the postnatal program and all of a sudden past week 3 the app quit marking my workouts as completed. I have to manually move forward to the week I'm on. It's a pain but I still love the program.
Used to love this app, especially the daily freebie, which are quick moves I do after my morning run. This feature used to be a random routine every day with infrequent repeats(you saw the routine maybe twice a month) every day so there was never one routine I was doing super frequently, preventing boredom. Its been the same 6 routines on scheduled days since June Need to bring back more variety to this feature as I've now done each of the 6 routines over 50 times. It's demotivating.
Hard to navigate. Workout programs not inclusive, can't filter for selected equipments only. Program description doesn't add benefit - not informative and not all spell out clearly the equipments needed. Filter function in Workout Library doesn't work and shows result with item not selected. I did a couple of workouts, although loving the high energy, instructor instruction not clear or video zoom into abs rather than showing movement. Was excited when I downloaded this but now dissapointed.
