PulseQ v2.00.100
TopDon HKAbout this app
PulseQ aims to solve the problem of inefficient electric vehicle charging by providing a smart charging solution, which benefits electric vehicle owners the most. Compared to other tools in the category, PulseQ's lack of permissions and free model without ads are notable, but its below-average user rating raises concerns about its effectiveness. The app's simplicity and focus on electric vehicle owners set it apart, but it falls short in terms of overall user satisfaction. Its limited download numbers and low rating suggest that it may not be the most popular or reliable option in the market.
Pros
- PulseQ's permission-free design is a significant advantage, as it ensures that users' data is not being collected or shared without their consent, which is a major concern for many users.
- The app's free model without ads provides an uninterrupted user experience, which is a rare find in the tools category where many apps rely on ads for revenue.
- PulseQ's focus on electric vehicle owners makes it a specialized tool that caters to a specific need, which can be beneficial for users who are looking for a tailored solution.
- The app's simplicity and ease of use make it accessible to a wide range of users, including those who are not tech-savvy.
- The developer's email support provides a direct line of communication for users who encounter issues or have questions, which is a positive aspect of the app's customer support.
Cons
- The app's below-average user rating of 2.2/5 raises significant concerns about its effectiveness and reliability, which may deter potential users from downloading it.
- The limited download numbers of 500+ suggest that the app may not be widely used or tested, which can be a concern for users who rely on social proof to make informed decisions.
- The lack of information about the developer's website and other products makes it difficult to assess their reputation and credibility, which can be a drawback for users who value transparency.
- The app's limited functionality and lack of features may not be enough to meet the needs of advanced users who are looking for a more comprehensive tool.
Best for: The ideal user for PulseQ is an electric vehicle owner who is looking for a simple and specialized tool to manage their charging needs, has basic technical skills, and values ease of use and data privacy, and is likely between the ages of 25 and 50, with a moderate to high level of environmental awareness and a desire to optimize their vehicle's performance and efficiency.

PulseQ users say on Google Play
I have been using this app for two months so far, and the last update solved the wifi connection issue. The charging schedule option is great as well. Look forward to see future updates! Great app! My car is 2023 Pro s id4
The PulseQ app works exactly as advertised, managing the charge of my Tesla model 3 with a great, informative interface and a smooth layout. As the PulseQ is still relatively new, there are a few bugs in the scheduling feature selection, but support has been excellent at responding to feedback, and keeping me updated as the app continues to become increasingly polished. Overall, if you are looking for a good third-party level 2 EV charger for your home, this one is a solid choice!
Most everything works fine but the scheduled charging has some serious issues. If you plug in after scheduled charging was scheduled to start it doesn't start. You then have to manually start the charge. That then causes problem #2 - if you say to charge now it shuts off your scheduled charge.
Not reliable! The scheduled operation is not reliable and misses at times (not acceptable). In two cases over the last week I had to wake up in the middle of the night and charge manually using the button the app, because automatic charging had failed. If there is glitch in your wifi, the scheduled charging does not occur! These are not acceptable. The plug and play does not work if your car does not charge immediately and will shutdown. This last issue makes the unit not very usable!
