I see the gripes of the other reviewers and I don't get them at all. Since I've gotten this camera, Topdon has pumped out more resolution, more features, 3d modeling, data exporting, etc. This camera is an absolute steal for what you pay for it and the features are constantly being rolled out and updated, for FREE! In a subscription based world, that is a rarity. Keep up the awesome work guys, I'm currently looking at your zoom camera as my potential next purchase, couldn't be happier.

TopDon has highly impressed me with their app updates. 2 years ago, this was a basic thermal camera with no customization or consistency. It is now a highly accurate tool on par with professional solutions costing 10x more. My only complaint is that the settings screen for thermal limits does not respect auto rotate. Most people hold their phones upside down so the camera is on top. The UI rotates, but choosing the custom display settings goes to standard orientation. Fix that and 5 stars easy.

1. Does not remember settings between runs 2. Keeps forgetting rotation setting even in a single session 3. Turning on any of the numerical temperature display modes forces the central spot temperature to be turned on 4. Only a small part of the screen is used to display the thermal view. Like the previous version of this app, the menu can't be hidden and takes up a bunch of unnecessary space while it's not being used. App could use a full screen mode.

Although it looks better than the old app, it is lacking the most basic features. There appears to be little to no customization and no option to change from centigrade to ferinheit. The app also locked up at one point. Additionally, it is quite vocal about wanting you to login, which really should not be needed.

The new service agreement rambles on and on about needing an account and wanting personal information. That's unacceptable. I will be deleting this app. This new app appears to have nothing improved over the old TC001 app. So why a new app? Seems like rather scammy behavior. Android 14 Pixel 8 is unable to take photo without enabling audio. A notice pops up and claims that the app cannot access storage unless the audio permissions are enabled. That is absurd. This app is a waste of time.
