TroutRoutes: Trout Fishing App users say on Google Play
Amazing app! A great way to discover new streams. I use it mostly when I travel to other states, and it works great. I recommend upgrading to pro, as it gives the quality and access points of streams. without a doubt a wonderful user friendly app for fly and spin fishermen alike. EDIT: I was fishing in Kentucky around the Fort Knox area, but my trip was cut short because TroutRoutes didn't say it was restricted access.😡 so be sure to check Google maps for restricted areas before planning trip.
Doesn't include fishing regulations for Oregon. Android and Desktop version don't include saved gages. Works way better on Apple, hopefully they update the Android and Desktop versions soon.
I want to like this. I signed up for pro, and man.... it really sucks that certain features apparently don't exist on the android version of this app.
Still pretty mediocre. Figured once onx bought into them they'd do better and integrate but this app still feels very beta. I can't even download a stream on my Samsung. It some times doesn't find streams on the app but will find them on browser. Just not expected more since I've been laying for it for a few years now.
Great potential, but not executed well. The main issue here is the map functionality. There is no way to directly search the map, it relies entirely on physical manipulation (scrolling, etc). I regularly fish in different states, where I am often not familiar with the local roads, etc. This makes the map scrolling complicated as I must constantly refer to another app to get my bearings then switch back to this one to get the solid info. This seems like a glaring UI issue for a map in 2025.
