Sheet Music Scanner & Reader users say on Google Play
I've literally been waiting for this kind of software to exist for most of my life and now it's here! This app works surprisingly accurately and quickly. There are many essential features that are included and I'm hoping to see more things added soon. Particularly, I'm impressed with the ability to read scores and although you can transpose one voice at a time, there's no way to transpose individual parts when you playback the entire score at once. Great app, hoping to see more features.
Works most of the time with pdf music scores or with pictures. You can choose to play all voices together or only single voices (if on a separate staff). This is very useful to learn a separate voice and then exercise to sing it with all the voices. Some scores might not work well (if the quality or resolution of the score is bad) and the app sometimes misses a note, but overall I'm very satisfied.
I noticed that Music Scanner doesn’t show up in the Android “Share to” menu when trying to share files (like images) from other apps. This makes importing files a bit inconvenient because the only way is to open Music Scanner manually and import from there. Most apps nowadays integrate with Android’s sharing system so users can quickly open files in the app of their choice. I think adding this feature would really improve the user experience. Hope the developer can consider this in future updat
It's very much a hit and miss. Even when uploading actual sheet music from electronic sources, perfect quality, the app doesn't recognize it. Would be fine as a free app, but not worth the money.
Awful. Why the heck does it skip all over playing the music? What could possibly be a positive function of that? I bought this app to make my experience learning music easier, this was a headache and completely stressed me out. delete and regret buying.
