How to Set Up Your Account
• Download the ParkDSM app and create an account with your email address and password
• Enter your license plate number and the state where your vehicle is registered

How It Works
On-Street and Off-Street Parking:
• Enter the zone number on the posted signs around the meter
• Select the amount of time you want to park and confirm your information
• Touch the “Start Parking” button to begin your parking session
• Extend time in the app if you are running late

Haven't used it yet, but thrilled to see Des Moines getting this. That said, is there any reason to use this "ParkDSM" specific app if we already have the regular Park Mobile app from having used it in other cities? I already discovered that I can sign into the ParkDSM app using my existing Park Mobile account.

Vehicle nick name is marked as optional, but If you don't fill it in you can't advance to the next screen. Someone needs to look up the definition of "Optional". It took 15 minutes to fill out everything before I could walk away.

This app sucks. You have to have a vehicle registered with your account and can't delete it without adding another one. Also, you can't use the app without specifying the vehicle in the spot like wth id up with that? So if you don't have plates yet, no using this. I hate that the city switched to this. It's obnoxious in the form that it's in.
