I've been using this app on my phone instead of my heavy rugged tablet to vet a rogaine event. For better accuracy, I use the Bluetooth GPS app to connect my GPS datalogger on my hat to my phone. This is much more accurate than the GPS in the phone. I just noticed that you can now draw lines and areas. I'll have to learn how to use that. I take an external battery with me, but have not had to use it in my six hour vetting sessions. This is a well thought out app. It is very easy to georeference a map. Once georeferenced, you don't have to do it each time. The only thing strange is that when I make notes, the autocorrect changes words and refuses my efforts to correct them. Example: when I type "reentrant", it changes to "recent". This might be caused by a setting on my phone. I will be using this often! A tip: be careful not to tap one of the menu items while swiping the map. I've hit the Change Position button by accident and sent some of the map notes icons way across the map. I would like an option to have to double click those buttons. Many thanks to the programmer!!!
requires another PAID app to even work!
