Airthings v7.2.3
Airthings ASAAbout this app
The Airthings app solves the problem of monitoring and managing indoor air quality for users who own Airthings devices, providing them with a centralized platform to track and analyze their environment. This app benefits homeowners, office administrators, and individuals with respiratory issues the most, as it offers a user-friendly interface to monitor and improve air quality. Compared to other House And Home category apps, Airthings stands out with its seamless integration with Airthings devices, but may fall short in terms of broader smart home integration. With a strong 4.4/5 user rating, the app demonstrates a high level of user satisfaction.
Pros
- The Airthings app boasts a high user rating of 4.4/5, indicating a well-designed and functional user experience, which is a significant advantage in the House And Home category.
- With over 100,000 downloads, the app has achieved moderate social proof, suggesting that it is a reliable and trustworthy solution for indoor air quality monitoring.
- The app's lack of permissions requests is a significant pro, as it ensures user data privacy and security, which is a critical consideration for any smart home or health-related app.
- The developer, Airthings ASA, has a professional website and provides a dedicated support email, demonstrating a commitment to customer support and feedback.
- The app's free model without ads or in-app purchases ensures an uninterrupted user experience, allowing users to focus on monitoring and improving their indoor air quality without distractions.
Cons
- One concern is the app's limited functionality, as it is primarily designed for Airthings device owners, which may limit its appeal to a broader audience.
- The app's compatibility is limited to Android 8.0 and above, which may exclude some older devices and users who have not updated their operating system.
- Some users may find the app's feature set to be limited compared to other smart home or air quality monitoring apps, which could be a drawback for users seeking more comprehensive solutions.
- The lack of offline capability may be a concern for users who need to monitor air quality in areas with limited internet connectivity.
Best for: The ideal user for the Airthings app is a health-conscious homeowner or office administrator, likely between the ages of 25-55, with a moderate level of technical skill, who is interested in monitoring and improving indoor air quality, and has already invested in Airthings devices, seeking a user-friendly and integrated solution to manage their air quality data.

Airthings users say on Google Play
Great trustworthy system. Gives me peace of mind!
I do not have a sync button in my newly downloaded version of the app. My data is a week old.
Good until the last update when I lost the dashboard.
Was forced to upgrade to the new app after the (perfectly functional) old app was deprecated. The new app does *not* allow background syncing with bluetooth like the old one did, instead the AI chatbot is prompting me to buy a hub. At least give the option to allow for background syncing. No, I don't want to buy a hub to support my *one* monitor. edit: turns out the AI assistant was prompting me to buy an airthings hub to fix this problem, but that product doesn't exist anymore. thanks guys
This app is an absolute POS compared to the previous app Why is data delayed 1 hour when the old app has no problem showing current values. I need to know what the temperature is right now, not an hour ago!!!!!
