Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance’s DriveRight® Mobile app can help you become a safer driver AND save you money on your auto insurance!

The app uses smartphone sensors to measure your vehicle’s driving dynamics, delivering insightful data on your braking, acceleration, cornering, speed, and phone use while behind the wheel. Use the app to review trip summaries and increase your driving score, which is a unique rating assigned to each driver. DriveRight® Mobile users can even keep tabs on family members’ driving habits (think: teen drivers).

*DriveRight® Mobile utilizes GPS and runs in the background of your smartphone, which can decrease phone battery life. An active auto policy with Kentucky Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company is required to use this app.

There was a problem with the app crashing on startup, but the August 5th, 2022 update resolved the issue. The app works well, but is hyper sensitive to cornering and braking. I drive very, very conservatively, but it treats a land yacht and a high performance sports car the same, so if you drive a nimble car, no matter how conservatively, you're going to get nailed for hard cornering. And regarding braking, anytime you catch a red light exactly wrong, it's going to nail you for hard braking.

I installed this DriveRight app a couple of weeks ago and successfully recorded around 15 trips. This morning when I left the house the app would just freeze on the startup screen for 5 Secord's or so and throw me to a screen asking my to close the app and send feedback. I did uninstall the app, rebooted the phone, and then reinstalled from the play store. Same problem.... I've spend 20 minutes on now without success.... I'm DONE with it. I strongly recommend you avoid this app!!
