Developer Description

Receive shooting session information from the device.

Use the ShotView™ app to connect to your Xero® C1 Pro chronograph. After a shooting session is completed, see your ballistic data on the app, where it is organized and easy to interpret. Analyze shot data, including speed, deviation, extreme spread, kinetic energy and more — and export the raw data to CSV format. Exclude cold bore shots and other outliers from session calculations as desired. Create custom names for each session, add notes for specific shots, and mark clean bore and cold bore attributes for each shot. Filter by weapon type to quickly access specific sessions for review.

The ShotView™ app can send and save your recorded shot and session data to the cloud. You can access and use saved data on other phones or back up your data for future use. A Garmin account is required to store your data in the cloud.

This app is great. Connects instantly every time. Simple and easy. You don't need all that other garbage that doesn't work like velocities every foot, because b.c.'s are not relevant at 100 yards for most bullets. That's what truing is for. When a session is complete, data will automatically be sent to the app. Easy to edit session title, too. This app contains a notes section that is great. Remove/ turn off and on shots from the list and the data updates accordingly. Don't change anything!

It's a solid app considering how new the companion product (Xero C1 Pro) is. Setup and operation are straightforward with almost no learning curve. It could definitely use some enhancements around exporting and managing sessions, especially when handling more than a handful of sessions. I'm hopeful this was just Garmin's MVP (minimally viable product) for launch and they continue to evolve it.

Function for not ever missing a shot and ease of use is great. But transferring the data to a computer, important for shooters who do load development, is a hassle. We should be able to select any number of sessions to download in just one download. And the same goes for deleting any number of sessions. However was in charge of the software development apparently doesn't know how Shooters who do load development use the data that a chrono produces.

Unit works great and flawlessly. As for app I wish there was more features in it. Templates to select and write your load data, seating depths, bullet manufacturers, powder, B.C, camera feature to take a picture of your groups to save as reference, and easy sharable mode where you can share your data via txt for example. I think app could easily improve and implement these for your notes. And make it easily viewable when session end so you can go back in your notes and review your data.

App is a start but needs more features. It's nice for getting the Xero C1 the firmware updates and looking at strings more easily, but I'd really like to see a "templates" option for assigning info about strings quickly. For example, in a template you could name a firearm, bullet information, powder and charge weight. That way if you're running a ladder test you can apply a set of standard info to the strings and only have to change the powder charge weight instead of typing everything again.
