I've only been using this app for a week, so my opinion may change over time. I give it 5 stars for ease of use, extensive content and clarity. 😊It's now years since I started using the app and now have installed it on my new phone. Ever since, books which I downloaded, stopped opening so I can't continue reading. I have to download the book again to continue. This happens regularly. Downgrade app to 3 stars.

The app works very well, but per the Duck Duck Go browser's app tracking feature, Free Books transmits a huge amount of tracking data to google and Facebook--even when I haven't used it in several months.

Changing my review. No longer functions at all. Just says "Cannot load data. Check your connection" no matter what I do or what connection I have. All the books I had downloaded are also unavailable.
