MediaFire v5.6.0
MediaFireAbout this app
MediaFire solves the problem of storage and streaming for users with large collections of photos, music, videos, and documents, benefiting individuals who need access to their files across multiple devices. It stands out in the Productivity category with its generous 50GB free storage offer, making it a strong competitor to alternatives like Google Drive and Dropbox. However, its lack of advanced features and limited organization options might fall short for power users. Overall, MediaFire's simplicity and free storage make it an attractive option for casual users.
Pros
- With over 10 million downloads and a 3.8-star rating, MediaFire has demonstrated its reliability and user satisfaction, indicating a well-designed and functional app.
- The app's free model with no ads or in-app purchases provides an uninterrupted user experience, making it an attractive option for those who value simplicity and minimal distractions.
- MediaFire's offline capability allows users to access their files even without an internet connection, enhancing its usability in areas with poor network coverage.
- The developer's reputation and frequent updates suggest a commitment to maintaining and improving the app, which is reassuring for users who plan to use it long-term.
- The absence of required permissions reduces the risk of data breaches and enhances user privacy, making it a secure choice for storing personal files.
Cons
- The app's limited organization features and lack of advanced sorting options might make it difficult for users with large collections to manage their files efficiently.
- Some users may find the app's interface and design to be dated and in need of a refresh, which could impact the overall user experience.
- The 50GB free storage, while generous, may not be sufficient for heavy users or those with extensive media libraries, potentially requiring upgrades or alternative solutions.
- The app's performance might be affected by the size of the stored files and the device's specifications, leading to slower loading times or crashes in some cases.
Best for: The ideal user for MediaFire is an individual who needs a simple, free, and reliable cloud storage solution for storing and streaming their personal files, such as photos, videos, and documents, across multiple devices, with a focus on casual users who value ease of use and generous free storage over advanced features and complex organization options.

Privacy
Given that MediaFire requires no permissions, it poses minimal risk to user data, and the collected data is likely limited to account information and file metadata. However, users should still be cautious when storing sensitive files and consider using additional security measures like two-factor authentication. To maintain privacy, users should regularly review their account settings and ensure that their files are not shared unintentionally.
Tips
To get the most out of MediaFire, users should start by organizing their files into clear folders and utilizing the search function to quickly locate specific files. Additionally, users can optimize performance by regularly cleaning up unnecessary files and avoiding storing extremely large files that could slow down the app. For better battery life, users can also limit the app's background data usage and sync frequency.

I am rating the whole service and not just the android app. It is a very reliable cloud storage, that I have used for many years (more than 15 years now). Never had a single problem, never lost a single file, never seen a 404. Thank you for that perfect service all those years.
It gives you 10GB free cloud storage, downloading and uploading speed is also good 👍
App crashes every time I try to upload a video longer than 1 minute.
not installing
Very disappointing experience from the management. you people are denying access to the app without any withstanding reason. This will only help the clients to keep away by uninstall the app. If you don't want us please give us notice before doing like this. Then we can download our data and exit the app. But your ACT is purely UNLAWFUL and can't justify. In other words it's CHEATING. Don't think that you can force Clients to buy space through this CHEAP ACT. Hope you will change your policy
