MintPress News | Fearless Adverserial Journalism
We offer coverage of national politics and policy, civil liberties, the war on drugs, foreign affairs, energy, lifestyle, culture, technology and the environment.
A fresh approach in a headline-driven industry, our reporting is an innovative form of journalism that goes beyond answering “who, what, when, where and why” of certain topics by connecting them to the ideas of social justice and human rights.
We’re a team of editors, writers, reporters, national and international correspondents and contributors based across the nation and world. Our masthead includes veteran journalists, war correspondents, grassroots leaders, political analysts, world renowned authors and academics.
We believe that news media has a social obligation in keeping people informed on subjects that directly and indirectly influence people now and in the future, while rigorously discussing policies to drive us in a better direction as a true democracy.
The journey to start MintPress began in late 2011; we officially went live February 2013. Our administrative office is located in Minneapolis, MN, however, our journalists, correspondents and several of our editors and staff are based across the nation and world in California, New York, Washington DC, Illinois, Tennessee, Mississippi, and other states, and in several countries across Europe, Africa & the Middle East.

MintPress is a great place to get news that you won't hear on larger networks. The journalism is top notch. I highly reccomend them to everyone I know. The app runs good for me. It can take a couple more seconds to load a screen than other apps.
Loads quickly. Content updated in a timely manner. Decent editing and writing. Only annoyance is that some stories don't scroll down completely. This has been so for quite a lon time.
Great alternative resource but the app is hugely slow and just a bit amateurish. Does not work on slow connections at all, reloads the entire page after lock screen and so on. Don't get me wrong. The articles are very relevant and important but that's not an excuse for really poor loading times. There are people still put there on dial-up so don't be so western-centric on your design flaws ^^
There is an agenda here. First time reading newly installed app, I see articles mentioning "Zionism" and "Qanon". Zionism is usually code word for anti-Israel. I studied in Israel and support Israel. Qanon has a dubious reputation, but my personal judgement is "undecided" for the moment.
I nearly died laughing when I read my previous rating! This app is full of nothing but authors who are controlled opposition. Pretends to be 'alt media', but it's really corporate media in disguise. Gatekeepers, limited hangouts, and controlled opposition are on this platform and therfore, it totally sucks and is untrustworthy.
