The newest update seems to be doing better on notifications. When you go to live update the phone is switching to a blank tab on Chrome. Then you have to swap back to AP

Quickly repaired problem frim original review below. Top-notch news app, still hangs on bringing up articles. ................. Currently unusable on my up-to-date Samsung S23 Ultra. Pop-up announces that an update is available and asks me to update, while Play Store says it IS up to date. Deleting and reinstalling doesn't help. Clearing cache and data doesn't help. Can't get out of that loop. It had become increasingly glitchy before this, but this is new today.

Unfortunately, I am updating my 5 star review from 2020 due to the AP app insisting on changing their data policy in such a heavy handed way. I don't now, nor have I ever, needed personalized adds. I have left my original review intact below. AP appears to be as neutral as it gets. As good an anchor for honest journalism as I have been able to experience in this day and age.
